Perrin is a seventh generation owner of Moody Mountain Farm. He has many fond memories of being on the farm with his grandparents as a child. He, together with his wife Julie and their children Perry and Madeline lived at the farm before relocating to Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1994. From 1994 to 2002 the Lake Winnipesaukee Music Festival was held in the barn, bringing nationally and internationally acclaimed classical music artists to the area for the summer. Since 2009 the barn has been host to several unique weddings and community events.
